Changing Times

I have been slow with my blogging because I have been too busy. I have started a new job at the mall and a home business selling cosmetics.

I have been through the wringer a few times this past week. My old friend who I used to drink with has e-mailed me with obcentaties about my husband and calling me a manipulater and lier. She said how I put down Tiffany (it might have been her screen name) , how did she know I had a blog?-because Tiffany said what I did not want to hear, it was cruel in my opinion. All that was was a result of trying to do 9th step work, making amends for deceiving her in regards to having the door open to my future husband. I discussed it with my sponsor and she said that it sounded like my friend was abandoned. She got on me for calling me a dry drunk last summer which is something that you don't say to someone. My sponsor said that people should not be growling at your feet, which she was doing. My family is not siding with my friend now(with the exemtion of my stepfather who still gets his hair cut from her and they are still very good friends). My ex-friend does not even know my husband first of all, and she has violated some AA traditions by telling my stepfather what my husband has shared in confidence at meetings.

On a lighter note I did a little service work today at an outpatient facility by sharing my experience, strength and hope to an outpatient substance abuse program and it was truly rewarding. I feel safe blogging again since I can share my experience with others rather than reviewing movies, the idea was ridiculous anyway.

Flowers in the Attic

I was a sick person and still am in some ways. My guilty pleasure was those VC Andrews gothic fiction novels. Right before I sobered up from Alcohol, my mom threw away all my VC Andrews books yet I still carry the stories in my head. They made one of them into a movie, a cheesy movie I may add. I rented that for kicks so my husband could see it. The book contained a lot of incest in it which was not in the movie. The movie was a skeletal version of the book. If incest was added it could change the ratings or it would not be approved into the theaters.

Louise Fletcher was fabulous as the evil grandmother, but Victoria Tennent was awful as Corrine Foxworth(the mother). I think Nicole Kidman would have made a great Corrine and Kathleen Turner as the grandmother. I vote they do a remake of this film!

Betty Broderick Story: A woman Scorned

My husband and I rented "a Woman Scorned" off of netflix this past week. It's still on our TV set. I put it in before he got home and he was neutral to this on both sides. The case was pretty intense and the woman should be eligible for parole in the next couple years.

It was wrong for her to murder her ex-husband and new wife. I think her ex husband's behavior was just as shoddy as hers. What she did was all the revenges we fantasized about doing to our men when they wrong us like that (committing adultry). She should have got some professional help from the start of this fiasco, it would have saved 2 lives and the quality of the lives of the children. Her screws were way loose! Does anyone think she should remain in prison for the rest of her life?

Her husband gave her a generous monthly allowance of $16,000 a month. She could have found a life without Daniel. I am tired I will write more about it later and hear other opinions. It's quite a contraversal topic and interesting one at that.
